Valencia, the Home of Modern Chess, a Symposium of world importance
With prestigious international speakers from Germany, Russia, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Spain, Valencia was in the spotlight for this symposium that also featured a Karpov-Kasparov match. Few cultural events can be compared with the birth of queen chess or modern chess.
The contributions (**) of the speakers can be downloaded from the links given below. During the Symposium Valencia, Home of Modern Chess (September 2009) these experts expounded the Valencian origin of chess as we know it today.
